We've experienced two important issue with the Sedo parking system that I thought that it would be worth writing about as it directly impacts the revenue line of domainers.

Issue 1
--------------
This is a problem that impacts both
Explorer Version: 6.0.290.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 OR Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

When a page is displayed and a user clicks on an advertising link the link goes through to a blank page. Several hours later we then compared the stats posted by Sedo and it recorded no views and no clicks (see screen capture 3). We could not replicate this error in other browsers. This is a problem because it means that a domainer is not getting credited correctly with the click that is rightfully theirs.

Prior to writing this blog I sent through all our data to Sedo but I've heard nothing for a number of days. It would be great if someone from Sedo could please invesitage this issue and leave a comment.

Issue 2
---------------
Some domainers may be calling a Sedo parked page via an iFrame so that you can have your own pop-exits etc. You need to be really careful with this as it works fine for some browsers and not for others. The following browsers appear to create the below issue: Explorer Version: 6.0.290.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 OR Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

When a Sedo parked page is called from an iFrame then the page is displayed without any advertising content. This means that views are recorded but there can never be a click due to the fact that there isn't any advertising to click on, which is not good. When we stopped calling from an iFrame we had over a 5% increase in CTR (click through rate) and also an increase in EPC (earnings per click) because users were seeing advertising that they could click.

Once we work out a solution for this one then I'll post it here. Meanwhile, if anyone from Sedo sees this then could you please leave a comment and a possible solution so that it can benefit all domainers. I have sent through the relevant screen shots of this issue through to Sedo for further analysis but haven't heard back.
