So what have I been up to lately? As normal I’ve been up to my neck in a myriad of domain name activities.....although lately it has been a little more frenetic than usual.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with my pet development project Downwind.com.au. The userbase is continuing to expand to the point where we have about 35% of the Australian pilots visit the site each month. I’m just about to add some additional functionality to further provide the community with additional incentives for visiting the site and ultimately forking out a few dollars. The good news is that we are starting to gain a few advertisers which are beginning to bring the cash through the door.

SilhouetteManI’ve decided to do something else that I’ve never actually done before and that’s promote a number of domains that I have for sale. I’ve built a site at bingonight.co.uk and I’m in the process of uploading a number of real category killer Bingo related domains that I have for sale. My wife Roselyn is contacting all of the online Bingo companies in the UK to let them know about the sale. There will be more on this in a later article....

We’ve been approached by a number of large domainers who have raised a large bucket of cash and so I’m in the process of sourcing large portfolios of cashflow traffic domains for them. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in selling ONLY cash generating domains.

ParkLogic has been keeping me really busy as we’re in the final stages of unbundling the entire ParkLogic platform so that large domain owners can gain confidence that everything possible is being done to monetize their domains better. A key focus of the unbundling strategy has been to introduce complete transparency into the reports and an enormous flexibility in managing domain portfolio’s traffic. If you are doing more than $10K per month then we would be interested in talking to you further about how we could help you manage your domain portfolio.

Of course another passion of mine is Whizzbangsblog.com! I’ve just updated the figures for an ongoing research project that will provide some incredible insights and also good news for the domain industry. It looks like we’ve bottomed out and the EPC rates are beginning to climb once again. I’m going to be presenting a few slides on this topic online on the 10th September courtesy of Owen Frager.

So the last few weeks have been fairly tumultuous and at the moment it feels like I’m in the eye of the storm. It's all good though. As they say, "If you want something done then give it to a busy person." Nothing like being really busy and enjoying every bit of it!

Many of the domainers I know that were making 1K to 3K a day are now making $300 to $800 a day.

I think you might find that not many domainers make over 10K anymore. Of course, this may be short-lived if the market does pick back up.

I have noticed an uptick, but only on Yahoo. However, Yahoo is getting ready to supposedly pay out more for high quality traffic. We will see.
